Timothy doesn't actually have a thing for old men, just thick eyebrows.

chippler asked:

"here's questions! for everyone:T
1.timtim! who was your first old man crush?
2.ian do you have any hobbies/talents?
3. daniel, can you touch your toes?
4. karen, what do you do when you have your period?
5. gramps what did you look like when you were ian's age?"

Karen has already answered so...

Odd1Out: 1.) What did each of the cast members look like as younger kids? Was Richard rather scary as a kid too?! *Sweatdrops* Did Timothy still not get along with his old man, even as a little kid?
...Obviously, this excludes Ian from the question since he's still a kid himself (sorry, dude)!

2.) Speaking of Ian, I'm curious... what would Ian look like as a teenager or adult? And how would this version act around Daniel and Timothy? What would Richard's reaction be? Better? Worse?

Boop Ba Doop asked: What's Daniel's backstory?
Better yet, why did he declare himself king?

Sorry this is so long!

Drawing Steve was fun 'cause he's such a cutie.

Also. Richard as a child; That's me. Right there.

"Quite difficult" sounds a bit of an understatement, Richard! *Laughs* I sometimes forget that there's more to him than what meets the eye; but then again, I think its realistic when people don't necessarily stick with having the same personality as they had as a child. In some cases, that even gives a sense of hope to readers who are struggling over that. Hm.

Anyhow, Daniel looks adorably disgruntled as a kid--it sort of tempts me into wanting to pinch his cheeks, just to see him even more grumpy. *Is a horrible person*

Thanks for answering my question as poorly phrased as it was and glad to see that you're able to draw comics again!
I dare say, my favorite part of this entire Q & A was getting to see Timothy as a kid, and getting to see more of his complex relationship with his father. Some readers like to skip through flashbacks and back stories, but I think especially for LbaMM's apocalyptic setting--it adds more to the characters.
I suppose in terms of scenes featuring the past, it's just a question on when it's appropriate to include them? I confess to still not always being sure myself.

On a side note, I'm rooting for you too, Timothy! *Fist pumps* Ignore the haters if there are any!

P.S: Both Younger!Timothy and his father were very---*cough*--endearing--*cough* throughout this page. |D

@Odd1out: I don't know why but for Richard I had the impression he grew up in a very rich family and was a little bit of a brat.

I don't draw not-cute kids because not-cute kids DON'T EXIST.

Haha, yeah. Timothy and his dad were fun to draw. I thought they were quite cute.

OMGosh... [Posted by PirateTrish (Guest) on March 7th, 2013, 8:11 pm]
